Antti-Jussi Pyykkönen, PsM will defend the doctoral dissertation entitled "Depression, Poor Sleep Quality, and Stress - Associations with Insulin Resistance, Insulin Secretion and the Metabolic Syndrome in Individuals without Type 2 Diabetes" in the Faculty of Behavioural Sciences, University of Helsinki, on 17 November 2012 at 12:00. The public examination will take place at the following address: Helsingin yliopistomuseo, Arppeanum, Auditorio, Snellmaninkatu 3.
Reader in Endocrinology and Diabetes and Honorary Consultant Physician Rebecca Reynolds, University of Edinburgh, UK, will serve as the opponent, and Professor Katri Räikkönen-Talvitie as the custos.
The dissertation will be published in the series Studies in Psychology.
