Marko Jääskeläinen, M.Sc. will defend the doctoral dissertation entitled "Retrotransposon BARE1 translation, localization, and VLP formation in barley" in the Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences, University of Helsinki, on 16 November 2012 at 12:00. The public examination will take place at the following address: Biokeskus 2, auditorio 1041, Viikinkaari 5.
Doctor Josep Casacuberta, Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics, Barcelona, Spain, will serve as the opponent, and Professor Tapio Palva as the custos.
The dissertation will be published in the series Dissertationes Biocentri Viikki Universitatis Helsingiensis.
