Mette Andersen, M.Sc. will defend the doctoral dissertation entitled "The grey zone between type 1 and type 2 diabetes - genetic aspects of diabetes in adults" in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Helsinki, on 30 November 2012 at 12:00. The public examination will take place at the following address: Meilahti Hospital, lecture hall 4, Haartmaninkatu 4.
Senior clinical researcher Katharine Owen, University of Oxford, will serve as the opponent, and Professor Per-Henrik Groop as the custos.
The dissertation will be published in the series Helsinki University Biomedical Dissertations.
